Day 01

Airport to Anuradhapura

Meet and assist on arrival at Airport by Lily Tours Representative Transfer from Airport to Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for its well preserved ruins. Anuradhapura was the first of the ancient capitals of the island of Sri Lanka continuously from the 4th century BC until 1017 AD. During this period it was the most stable center of power and urban life in South Asia. The eight Places of Veneration to see in Anuradhapura are Atamasthana; Sri Maha Bodhiya, The Bodhi Tree at the Sri Maha Bodhiya is protected by several other satellite trees, Abhayagiri Dagaba, Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Lovamahapaya, Abhayagiri Dagaba , Jetavanarama, Mirisaveti Stupa and Lankarama.

Day 02 & 03

Trincomalee

Trincomalee is a beautiful city based in the eastern side of Sri Lanka. And is the fifth largest natural harbour in the world. The city is built on a peninsula, which divides the inner and outer harbours and is rated as one of the finest of its kind in the world and attracted great sea farers like Marco Polo, Ptolemy and Sea Traders China and East Asia from the ancient times. Historically referred to as Gokanna or Gokarna it has been a sea port that has played a major role in maritime and international trading history of Sri Lanka. It is one of the main centers of Tamil speaking culture on the island. The long and wide beaches here offer surfing, scuba diving and fishing and whale watching. This sea town is home to the Thirukonesvaram Kovil, which is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. There are many things to do and see in town and the views across the three main bays tend to be picturesque.

Day 04

Sigiriya

We start a journey to Sigiriya. After the breakfast we climb on sigiriya lion rock. Sigiriya Rock Fortress, considered one of the Wonders of the Ancient World, that simply has to be seen to be believed. Located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle in the interior of Sri Lanka, Sigiriya is a recognized UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 05

Kandy

Today we will start our cultural journey in Kandy area. Kandy a major tourist destination-is also known as the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. It was the stronghold of the Sinhalese kings, who promoted and protected the local culture until the city fell to the British in 1815. Today a bustling commercial city, Kandy is famous for the Kandy Perahara-a huge cultural pageant that takes place in the month of July or August. It is one of the most colorful processions of the world. Thousands of drummers and dancers accompanying a parade of ornamented elephants perform in the streets of Kandy. The leading tusker carries the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. We can visit in kandy area , Temple of tooth, Royal Botanical Garden, Lankathilake Vihara, Embekke Temple & Gadaladeniya Temple.

Day 06

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya - "City of Light" or "Little England ", is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. The town is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. It is the heart of Sri Lankan tea country interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. Such an inspiring journey as Kandy - Nuwara Eliya Road of Sri Lanka Holidays builds up your expectations of Nuwara Eliya, the city with the highest altitude in the beautiful tropical island. The town's attractions include the golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. Victoria Park is an attractive and well-used oasis. Day 07

Ella

Today morning we will visit to everyone’s favourite hill-country village, and the place to ease off the travel accelerator with a few leisurely days resting in your choice of some of the country’s best guesthouses. The views through Ella Gap are stunning, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Don’t be too laid-back though; definitely make time for easygoing walks through tea plantations to temples, waterfalls and viewpoints. After building up a hiking-inspired appetite, look forward to Sri Lanka’s best home-cooked food and a reviving cuppa.

Day 08

Tissa

Tissa (Tissamaharama), eyes are automatically drawn upwards and outwards. Upwards to the tip of its huge, snowy-white dagoba and outwards, beyond the town’s confines, to nearby wildlife reserves crawling with creatures large and small. With its pretty lakeside location, Tissa is an ideal mellow base for the nearby Yala and Bundala National Parks.

Day 09

Mirissa

Mirissa is one of the main beach destinations in southern Sri Lanka. The area has it all, beautiful beaches, surf waves, whale watching and great bars and restaurants. Mirissa is developing quickly over the last couple of years so it’s also getting more crowded. There are still enough spots where you can enjoy a fresh coconut from your hammock seeing the sunset.

Day 10

Galle

Galle is an exquisite city filled with colonial Dutch and Portuguese history and architecture and once a major port. The imposing Fort is a tourist's treasure; it houses the national Maritime Museum, the National museum and the more recent (1938) lighthouse. The Fort overlooks the sparkling turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and it is easy to get lost in its atmosphere, rich with memories of a bygone era. Galle, famous for its lace, is filled with priceless crafts and antique treasures like jewellery, ceramics, and Dutch period furniture and brass work. The little city of Galle is a fascinating stop, not just for historians, but for anyone interested in learning more about Sri Lanka's historical experience.
Galle is also a good centre for visits to Unawatuna beach.

Colombo

Today we will take you on an extensive tour of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. The very modern and vibrant city of Colombo is full of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. From buildings and sites heavily influenced by Dutch and English architecture to historic temples that offer tranquility and peace of mind within the hustle and bustle of the city. Indulge in a very unique shopping experience at Pettah market where you can find just about anything at bargain prices or enjoy fine international cuisine at one of the many restaurants.
